Counseling Services
From my experience as a clinician and a client, an effective therapist is one who does not dictate the agenda of the sessions and moves at the client’s pace. That does not mean that I don’t hold my clients accountable or challenge their limiting beliefs. Talk therapy is a collaborative conversational process. It’s much like talking with a trusted friend or family member, without the potential judgment or criticism. Through the use of evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Psychodynamic, Narrative therapy, Attachment styles, EMDR trauma treatment, and Exposure & Response Prevention for OCD (to name a few), together we will explore, discuss, and process psychological distress in your life while fostering a sense of self-compassion. My main goal is to provide you with a safe space where your feelings, thoughts, and questions are welcomed and encouraged. Therapy is a process, and the goal is progress, not perfection.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing
This method is an effective psychotherapy treatment that has been proven to reduce the psychological ramifications of trauma-related incidences and negative core beliefs. You will not talk about the distressing issue in detail, rather, allow the bilateral stimulation and brain to access the unprocessed traumatic memories, and reprocess in a more adaptive way. I know it may sound “Woo-woo,” but it is truly a remarkable evidence-based treatment to recover from PTSD, depression, anxiety, panic disorder, and negative beliefs. I personally used EMDR to help overcome my claustrophobia.
